DIY EVENT Flowers

Get DIY Buckets of blooms:

We’re providing anyone looking for a variety of fresh cut-flowers with access to the highest quality, locally grown blooms for your event! A wholesale buyer’s pass is not required for this one-time purchase.

DIY buckets are perfect for anyone wanting to:

  • make your own arrangements for a wedding
  • setting up a bouquet bar at your event
  • have a mix of florals to DIY with for any gathering!

What’s in a bucket? Our floral design team fills 3 gallon buckets with a mix of seasonal flowers and foliage, either in a curated mix or pre-selected color palette. These are high quality flowers at wholesale prices – you can’t buy online or at a grocery store, every stem grown by a local farmer. Whatever you plan to create – our buckets of blooms will give your event a custom look (that’s also affordable, sustainable and stunning)!

DIY bucket orders are only available during Michigan’s fresh-cut flower season: generally from May through the second week of October. Pickup for DIY buckets of blooms is from Wednesday-Friday in Perry/Owosso or the Detroit area.

Check out our seasonal availability guide to get an idea of what is in season each month.

DIY’ing your wedding flowers?

HERE ARE SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER…

• DIY Buckets of Blooms are a great option for anyone with a smaller floral budget looking for wholesale flowers. DIY’ing arrangements like centerpieces, bouquets and other wedding pieces is a lot of work, but totally doable! Allow for at least a full day of design work for you and your crew to put everything together.

• Our fresh-cut season for DIY orders is open from May through early October. Michigan flowers and foliage bloom at different times of the year, so selection is dependent on weekly availability. This will require flexibility when working with nature (probably not a good fit if you have a very specific look including a limited type of flowers ex: white roses and eucalyptus).

• If your wedding date is between late May – June: these months produce Spring specific flowers, which provides for less variety in flower types. We do a lot of Spring orders that produce amazing designs, but want you to be aware that a majority of stems are (deluxe) tulips and daffodils, while greenery selections are very limited. Specialty spring flowers, like peonies or ranunculus have a short blooming window compared to most flowers and we cannot guarantee their availability for a specific day.

• Proper care and storage is required as these are perishable items! All blooms must be transported and stored in a cool place, kept in fresh water and out of direct sunlight. Designed arrangements should be stored indoors, preferable in an air conditioned room.

• Speaking from experience: If you’re the one getting married, you’ll likely be *at capacity* the week of your wedding, with last minute to-do’s. We highly recommend having an experienced and/or creative person that you trust to lean on for most of the work required. As the average sized DIY wedding requires a full week of set up & assembly, plan to have your arrangements completed a full day before the wedding!
