About Clematis
Clematis is a climbing vine grown for its large, star-shaped flowers and its delicate, curling stems. As a cut flower it adds a sense of movement and gathered-from-the-garden luxury that is hard to replicate.
It is a genus of mostly woody vines in the buttercup family, with hundreds of cultivars in a wide range of colors, as covered on its Wikipedia page.
Both the open blooms and the fluffy seed heads are prized by designers, giving clematis a long season of usefulness in high-end floral work.
