Michigan Hyacinths
Few flowers announce spring like a hyacinth. Grown by our Michigan farmer collective, their dense, sweetly scented spikes bring color and perfume to the earliest arrangements of the year.

About Hyacinths
Hyacinths are one of the first specialty blooms out of the ground each spring in Michigan. Each stem carries a tight column of star-shaped florets, and even a handful will scent an entire room.
The garden hyacinth is a spring-flowering bulb in the asparagus family, grown for centuries for its color and fragrance. You can read more about the plant on its Wikipedia page.
Because they grow from bulbs, our supply is tied closely to the spring window. When hyacinths are in, they are worth grabbing while the color is fresh and the scent is at its peak.

Care & Vase Life
- Trim an inch off each stem at an angle before placing them in water.
- Use cool, clean water and refresh it every two days to hold the fragrance.
- Keep hyacinths out of direct sun and away from heat sources and ripening fruit.
- The sap can be slippery, so give stems a quick rinse if you are combining them with other flowers.
- Expect a strong vase life of about five to seven days when kept cool.
